Country Manager

The Country Manager, South Africa, will serve as the primary lead role for Chipper Cash in South Africa. He/she will drive the country strategy working alongside global cross functional teams including Product, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, and Marketing. He/she will be a critical team leader to support sustainable and profitable growth for the Chipper Cash application.

Responsibility includes but is not limited to

  • Strategy and planning for business continuity and growth.
  • Identifying, developing and maintaining strategic relationships with business and operational partners and governmental organizations in South Africa to ensure and improve business operations and continuity.
  • Providing local market intelligence to help inform global functions on areas such as user-behavior, target segments and competitive intelligence. Deliver on country-based marketing campaigns.
  • Administrative support related to country operations.
  • Ensure the Chipper Cash is in compliance with local laws, legislation, and regulations relating to Chipper’s operations in South Africa.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in driving the strategy and execution of an organization, preferably through a period of growth.
  • Experience in partnership development and management.
  • Experience in team leadership and organizational management.
  • Preferred experience in financial services or related industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree/certifications preferred.
